In the furor over whether a restaurant owner was being rude by politely refusing service to the literal public face of the Trump administration, I’m reminded of this old joke:
A group of Jewish men were working in a Nazi concentration camp under the watchful eyes of German guards. About mid-day, the head German guard calls out “We just received orders to execute two of you men.” The guard points out “you, and you, you will be executed now by firing squad! Move to the execution post, now!”
The two Jewish men tiredly move to the execution post as the guards ready their rifles. As the two men get to the post, one turns around and yells to the guards “I want my last cigarette!” The other Jewish man quietly says “Psssst! Don’t make trouble.”
So yes, by all means, lets not make trouble for Trump, members of his administration, and Trump supporters in general. It’s just not civil.
